Computational evaluation of semantic transparency and word complexity through the review of Sem-Eval 2021 Task 1 - Lexical Complexity Prediction, and Sem-Eval 2016 Task 11 - Complex Word Identification. I'll present a summary of both tasks and their results based on the two main papers presenting both tasks (see below), but I'll be referencing papers from task participants as well.
